Medical Assistant – Family Medicine / Primary Care
Square One Medical Clinic is looking for a compassionate, organized, and dependable Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Clinical Responsibilities

In this role, you will work alongside our board-certified physicians to provide high-quality clinical and administrative support while creating a welcoming and positive experience for every patient.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians with clinical procedures.
- Escort patients to examination rooms and obtain medical histories and vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, and weight.
- Accurately document patient information and clinical findings in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Prepare and update patient charts before physician appointments.
- Perform phlebotomy/blood draws and other office-based clinical procedures as trained and permitted.
- Administer allergy injections, vitamin B12 injections, routine vaccinations, and other physician-directed injections as appropriate to your qualifications and scope of practice.
- Assist with infant and childhood immunizations under physician direction.
- Perform wart treatments and other delegated clinical procedures as required.
- Communicate relevant patient information to physicians before and during appointments.
- Recognize patients who may require urgent medical attention and promptly notify the appropriate physician or clinical team member.
- Monitor and maintain medical supplies and vaccine inventory.
Patient & Administrative Support
- Provide professional and compassionate service to patients throughout their visit.
- Answer telephone calls, take messages, and respond professionally to patients, pharmacies, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Contact patients regarding laboratory results as directed by the physician.
- Assist with follow-up appointments and coordinate patient care according to physician instructions.
- Help maintain efficient patient flow and support smooth daily clinic operations.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Previous experience in a medical clinic, physician's office, family medicine, or similar healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy and injections, where permitted by training, certification, and scope of practice.
Preferred:
- Experience in family medicine or primary care.
- Experience with OSCAR EMR.
- Experience assisting with vaccinations and other outpatient procedures.
- Medical Assistant, nursing, or other relevant healthcare training/certification.
